Avid Interplay Archive is the result of a unique stategic alliance between SGL and Avid that goes back over 5 years. Since 2004 Avid and SGL have co-developed archive content storage management solutions for broadcasters using Avid solutions. The latest incarnation of this is Avid Interplay Archive.
Avid Interplay Archive is the only fully integrated archive and storage management component for the Avid Interplay digital workflow engine, together creating a truly end-to-end solution. Avid Interplay Archive is driven by SGL's FlashNet content storage management system.
Avid Interplay Archive offers a huge number of benefits over other archive systems, primarily due to the unique level of co-development between Avid and SGL. For example, entire sequences can be archived in native format, and if a clip already exists in the archive as part of another sequence, there is no need to re-archive it. This level of integration and understanding at format level is unrivalled in the Avid content archive arena.

Avid Interplay Archive undergoes rigorous testing and certification at all sages of development. SGL test every release of FlashNet with the latest versions of Avid Interplay at the SGL labs in Fareham and pre-release code is then distributed to Avid labs in Tewksbury for complete validation before it is released. In addition, SGL is able to test and validate solutions with pre-release versions of Avid products before they go on general release, producing field-proven solutions before new versions hit the industry.
