When data needs to be archived for long-term storage on tape- or disk-based archive, FlashNet automatically controls the data movement to attached libraries or standalone drives without user intervention. FlashNet can make copies of your data at write time, which means you can store copies of your data in a safe location whilst maintaining a copy in the day-to-day archive.

When backed up or archived data is required quickly for use on the central server or client machine, FlashNet's powerful Search and Restore functions bring the data back from the archive fast and efficiently. You can restore data to its original location or to any location on the local server, or IP attached clients.
