SGL partners UK broadcast solutions provider TMD

Southampton, UK.
7th December 2005

Software Generation Limited (SGL), a leading provider of video storage management software, has announced its partnership with UK-based software solutions provider TMD, based in Aylesbury, Bucks.

TMD will sell FlashNet, SGL's flagship data management software, designed to work with many of today's leading video server, graphics, news and asset management applications, as part of a package with its Mediaflex Media Asset, Workflow and Resource Management solution to customers worldwide. Mediaflex allows broadcasters to operate both a fully file-based, digital media management and transmission system and a traditional, tape-based environment, thus ensuring a controlled transition from one to the other.

Tony Taylor, TMD Chairman and CEO commented: "The integration between SGL FlashNet and mediaflex has been extremely successful. Digital systems offer a number of significant benefits including ease of access to individual media assets via powerful search and browse capabilities, together with extensive archive facilities; key requirements in today's environment."

Bernie Walsh, SGL's Sales and Marketing Director, added: "We are delighted to be announcing this partnership with TMD. SGL FlashNet continues to be the video storage management software of choice for broadcasters globally."
