SGL announces FlashNet 6.2, the industry's leading Storage Management software IBC,
Stand 8.131e, Amsterdam Software Generation Limited (SGL), a leading provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment, has today unveiled the latest version of its data archive and management software, FlashNet 6.2 at IBC2007 on stand 8.131e. FlashNet 6.2 includes major enhancements to the already fully functional version of FlashNet. This includes enhanced error monitoring for both storage devices and media; additional functionality within StorageManager to allow manual movement of material between different layers of storage hierarchy with enhanced grouping functionality, specifically designed for Sports environments; and enhanced integration with News systems such as Avid iNews and TGV Aurora as well as an enhanced API for integration with SGL's many partners. A number of key customers are now using the Avid Interplay system, including CREATION CLUB (Germany, AVI Drome (Holland) and SBS (Holland).
