SGL unveils FlashBrowse enterprise archive viewing tool

Software Generation Limited (SGL), a leading provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment, has today introduced a major product to the American broadcast community at NAB2008. FlashBrowse will be launched on the SGL booth, SU11926.

SGL, still the only integrated archive solution currently sold by Avid for the Avid Interplay non-linear workflow engine, will have a fully functional, fully integrated Avid Interplay on its booth, which will be demonstrated by first-class demo artists.

Making its worldwide debut, FlashBrowse is SGL's new Enterprise archive viewing tool that enables browse copies of archive material to be externally stored and accessed. FlashBrowse provides a fast, cost-effective solution for all archive systems including post production facilities and broadcasters. FlashBrowse provides an interface, independent of the control system, allowing material to be searched and viewed and then automatically restored back into the Online media network. FlashBrowse is fully compliant with Avid Interplay and Media Manager WG4 environments.

SGL's VP Americas, Mickey Charles will present a paper at The Creative Storage 2008 Conference on Tuesday April 15th at 1.15pm. The session, entitled Content Delivery and Archiving Digital Storage, will be held in Room N119 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
