| SGL FlashNet provides support for international character set CabSat,
Dubai Software Generation Limited (SGL), a leading provider of video storage management software, has announced that the next generation of SGL FlashNet provides support for the International Character Set of worldwide languages including the Middle East and Far East. SGL FlashNet, a software storage solution that provides the link between video stored as files on video servers, editing systems and the long term archive library, has been installed by many broadcasters worldwide. Last year SGL announced its relationship with Avid, which sees the leader in digital nonlinear media creation, management and distribution solutions fully endorse SGL FlashNet to produce a fully integrated, end-to-end hardware and software based archive storage solution, available from Avid sales offices worldwide. Building on this collaboration with Avid, SGL also announced its partnership with Salam Technical Services, one of the leading systems integrators for broadcast and post production facilities in the Middle East. Following last year's IBC, Beirut-based dealer and systems integrator Mediator sarl announced that it recommends SGL FlashNet to customers spanning several countries including the Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
